Majuro Fuel Tank Farm Seawall

D&C upgrade of 210mt of existing seawall to improve protection of the Majuro Fuel Tank Farm. The existing armour rock seawall crest height was deemed insufficient to provide adequate protection and therefore needed increasing. CCB Envico and consultants T&TI (NZ) reviewed armour rock, geobag and Seabee options to find the best value for money solution for MEC. Ultimately, seabee units that could be locally produced were selected for the application. The installation was completed in December 2022.  The improved seawall prevents coastal erosion through increased crest height which reduces overtopping and acts to retain additional earth whilst reducing washout potential.
